Eleven Peas in a Pod

Tracy Zager found a pea pod with 11 peas in it. Here’s the tweet that proves it. This is an interactive simulation that expresses the radius of each pea as a function of its position in the pod. I estimated that the radii range from 3.5 mm to 4 mm.
